After three years of publishing annual editions, Sunday Scriptures for Reading Aloud published the definitive Complete Three‑Year Lectionary in the UK in March
The international edition followed in December
Website upgrades led to exponential growth in visitor numbers throughout the summer, and this continues as 2026 approaches
The peak time for visitors is Wednesday morning between 10am and 12noon - the busiest of the weekday mornings as people who prepare services look at the readings that are coming up
The second busiest time is Saturday between 4pm and 6pm as people on the rota check the readings for the next day
It's only Thursday 1 January and Sunday 4 January is already our most downloaded Sunday ever
• 53% arrive through Google (and other search engines) - we are often in the top results when you search for Lectionary Readings and a near Sunday date, especially if you add ‘reading aloud’, and definitely if you remember ‘ssra’
• 35% have us bookmarked or type ‘ssra.uk’ straight into the browser
• 12% arrive from links and social media and our own calendar app add-on - see the link on the home page - and the links for social media and parish newsletters are on every individual readings page
The search engines have brought in international users across the English‑speaking world - not only the United States (12% of users) but India, Canada, Australia and more, on every continent. In December, the international print edition of SSRA was launched through Amazon, and international shipping was launched from the UK warehouse.
Initial indications are that parishes have decided during 2025 to adopt SSRA with effect from January 2026
Welcome to our growing community
And do continue to tell friends and colleagues about this new resource at chapter meetings, on social media and elsewhere
